Pictures as promised

So im only going to post ONE project at a time and telling how it did it...all four things are too much work for one night. :)

So the first one i decided to make was this...

I did some hardcore editing on this picture, so it could look decent...and this is what resulted. Maybe i need to start taking pictures with my camera and not my phone?

I had this amazing idea about 10 months ago to make this piece of wall art. So i decided that 10 months later was probably the time to do it. AND i had a frame sitting around, as well as the fabric, so all i needed was the quote.

This is how i did it:

First, the frame orginally was portrait ways, not landscape, so i had to change the hangers on the back of the frame.

Then i had to take numbers off the matting in the frame (someone gave me the frame from graduation from highschool and i just no longer had it hanging in my apartment). They were really easy to take off, i just ripped gently took the numbers off. They were these stupid foam things. Really cheap.

Anyway, then i decided it was very important to clean the glass. The frame had been sitting for a LONG time, so cleaning it made sense.

Then i got my glue gun out and plugged it into the wall (you probably didn't need to know this step but, i guess its important)

While my glue gun was warming up, i started cutting my fabric. I just measured it up to the mat, and cut two inches past what the mat was.

After i cut it, i made sure to iron all the creases out of the fabric. By this time my glue gun was warm so i was ready to start making the inside. I glued my fabric onto the back of the mat, wrapping it around the mat. I made sure to have it straight, and i never glued it on the front, so i didn't have weird lines on the front.

After i put the mat together, i put it back in the frame, and closed the frame. Now i was ready for the letters.

The letters were the easy part. All i had to do was follow the instructions that came with the lettering. (Not that i needed it, i'd done vinyl with my mom at our house in Idaho Falls before)

And i was done! Then all i did was hang it in my bathroom and VIOLA! a brand new wall art for under $10!  Now thats what i call a good craft.

Next time maybe i will post on my headbands. If you have seen them and want to buy one i sell them for ten dollars, and if you refer a friend i will make you a second one for only five dollars!
